Crackling, gasping skirts

Crackling, gasping is a work for commission wall painting on 'Valby Hall' done in 2020. The building is a local sports hall, concert and community space and was build in the early 1980'es. The painting 'Crackling, gasping skirts' was made for Valby Hallen's sports teams and inspired by the tradition of socialist painting and illustration in swim clubs and on public housing in Scandinavia and in clothing designs in Eastern Europe. Delicate paintings of a faceless but seemingly engaged community. Physical, uncanny; a basket team or a witch circle.
